Dolores Gonzales is an award-winning watercolor artist and her recent painting, “Sterling Edwards Tribute” can be seen here in the 2021 Aquarius Show presented by the Central Coast Watercolor Society. Her work became a one woman show at Los Olivos Café as part of Art Without Borders. Dolores work can be seen at SLO Gallery at 1019 Broad Street in San Luis Obispo. She is best known for her vibrant colors and floral expressions. Dolores has been involved in art almost to the day since she retired from her career in human resources. Within days of her last workday she was enrolled in art classes at Allan Hancock College and has continued studying and painting ever since for the last decade. A past in interior decoration has been a great place to draw from along this artistic journey.
Dolores is happiest in her studio and loves to paint in a happy and expressive style using bright colors and a sense of lightheartedness. Her paintings are part of private collections across the country and can be seen in the T & T Gallery in Los Alamos on Bell Street. She is also a member of the Central Coast Watercolor Society and will be doing Arts Obispo’s “Open Studios Tour 2021”. See the Events Page for more information.
Please take a few moments to browse through some of her paintings. Her work is available in originals and high-quality Giclee copies. You are also invited to arrange for a private showing in her home studio and she can be contacted at 805 314-2531 or at DGonz1673@comcast.net.
